Although humankind is a part of the nature, it has always been subject to natural forces like: volcano, cold, wild animals and diseases. The survival instinct and the fear of nature has caused man to distance himself from it; be it clothing of his bare body or living in the caves, and this process has been going on since pre-historic millennia to the extent which there are a few landscapes without the traces of humankind. Wherever you may go, you will find marks of human presence, from ashes of a recent fire to all kind of plastic waste and power grids in the sky. Humankind’s power to change the nature is more than evident and unfortunately it’s leading to environmental disasters like global warming, urban and industrial waste: the destructive power of humankind. In this collection we also see human manipulation in nature, although at first it might be considered a natural landscape but because of these manipulations we cannot call them natural landscapes. Nowadays we see these manipulations all around us to the extent that we seem to overlook them. They are now considered “natural”.
